Public bug reported:

I have noticed this bug on both a fresh install of 8.04 beta as well as
the alphas that have been upgraded recently. The window decorations
render normally including the menu bar, desktop background, and the
title bar for the menus. Other items, including window content, the kde
menu, and right-click dialog menus are magnified to an unusable level
(see lousy camera phone shot of the run dialog (alt+f2) at
http://www.blissfulidiot.com/temp/kdedisplaybug.jpg). I currently have a
fresh install from the beta CD, no updates installed yet, but i saw the
same behavior with a fully updated install as well.

The hardware is a Dell Poweredge Sc440 (ATI ES1000 graphics) and X2Gen
MG17R LCD display.

I have attached the lspci output and Xorg log file. I am happy to
provide any other information that would be useful.
