this is already available in hardy as so called "guest button".
adding LDM_USERNAME, LDM_PASSWORD and LDM_ALLOW_GUEST=True to lts.conf
puts a "log in as guest" button below the input field.
if that doesnt suffice feel free to reopen the bug.
