This is a bug with 'services-admin' from package 'gnome-system-tools'. Runlevel links generated by postinst script in both mt-daapd and avahi- daemon packages are correct.
This bug is reproducible: Disabling 'avahi-daemon' via 'services-admin' deletes the link /etc/rc2.d/S18avahi-daemon. Enabling the service later puts the wrong link in place: /etc/rc2.d/S50avahi-daemon. A reinstall of 'avahi-daemon' after using 'services-admin' should fix it.
