You have been subscribed to a public bug:

When a usb drive is connected, Kubuntu detects it and offers an option
of opening in a new Konqueror Window. This opens the location
"media:/sdb1" or something of the sort, which is not in sync with the
tree on the left panel (i.e., the folder opened on the right is not
shown on the tree in the left panel).

If the default behaviour was to open "/media/usbdrive" or whatever is
the folder where the device was mounted, this folder would automatically
be revealed in the tree on the left panel, facilitating the navigation.

The same thing happens if I open the device by double-clicking its icon
on the Desktop.

It's not really a bug, it's a suggestion of improvement. I hope this is
the right place for this also. Thank you.
