Hi jasonq,
I see you mention you are running Gutsy 7.10 (Kubuntu). Care to
actually try the latest Hardy Heron 8.04 Beta release -
http://www.ubuntu.com/testing. You should be able to test via the
LiveCD. We're actually about 2 weeks out from releasing Hardy final so
you may even want to try the latest daily LiveCD's -
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com . Hardy actually uses the iwlwifi drivers.
linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24 will provide you version 1.2.0 of the
iwlwifi drivers. However, linux-backports-modules-2.6.24 recently
pulled in an even more recent version of iwlwifi, version 1.2.25.
Running the command 'modinfo iwl3945' can provide you with the version
information. It would be nice to know if this is still and issue in
Hardy. Please let us know your results. Thanks.
