I have switched to iwlwifi driver and it worked well with kernel
2.6.24-15. When I install newer version of kernel, without package
linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24-1, it boots up without problems, however
wifi doesn't work as modules for it are in mentioned package.
When I install this package, boot process stops in ~15% of progress bar.
When I press Ctrl+Alt+Delete, boot process continues, but then X.org
doesn't start. There is some message in ncurses graphics instead
stating, that xorg cannot start properly.
So I guess that there is error in linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24-16-generic
package, because without it X.org starts as usual.
Feel free to ask any question if you don't find my bugreport
satisfactory.
