Confirmed, in a different way (i386): When it hangs at boot, I was able to get to the text display. The last few lines were
Kinit: trying to resume from /dev/dis/by-uuid/[code] Kinit: no resume image. doing normal boot End of story. The [code] was NOT the uuid of any device on my system. I tried re-boot to recovery mode. That hung at this line: 51.025345 4:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg1 type 0 I also noticed a reference to sda(8,6) somewhere higher in the boot text. But although my system has sda8 (it's the HH partition) it sure does not have any sda(8,6). -- "loading hardware drivers" [fail] linux kernel generic 2.6.24 - 16, hangs on boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/215820 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
