Under Running programs I found a quick trubelshooting a variation of this tip
worked for me:
Here what I did:
First I ran:
$ dbus-launch konsole
Then in the new konsole window:
$ /usr/lib/kde4/bin/dolphin
This way dolphin starts but in the console it gives the following error:
(Soprano) Error occured in thread 3056846624 :
"org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.Servi ceUnknown - The
name org.kde.NepomukServer was not provided by any .service file
s"

This is a valid complaint as I run KDE3 and there may no Nepomuk instance be
running.
But I'm not sure if the:
>> KUniqueApplication: Cannot find the D-Bus session server
and the Nepomuk error are related?
