Public bug reported:

On a new installation of Hardy Heron beta ubuntu-mythtv-frontend does
not work, or rather does not start. The sympthom is that when the
machine starts it shows the "MythTV" login screen for about 10 seconds
and then the session disappear and the normal login screen shows up.
After five seconds myth frontend tries to start again. On this second
attempt the "MythTV" login screen is shown but after about 10 seconds a
pop-up box appears with the following message:

"Your sessin only lasted less than 10 seconds. If you have not logged
out yoursel, this could mean that there is soem installation problem or
that you may be out of diskspace. Try logging in with one of the
failsafe sessions to see if you can fix this problem".

I am attaching the .xsession-erros file.

When logging in as a normal user I have no problems logging in and
everything on the machine seems to work as it should.

To steps I have done is:

1. Install Hardy Heron beta
2. Update all packages
3. Using synaptic to install "ubunty-mythtv-frontend"
4. Run sudo dpkg-reconfigure mythtv-common
5. Restart the machine

Expected that mythtv frontend should start automagically when the
machine re-starts. But only the MythTV login screen is shown for some
seconds before it disappears (as described above).

I have re-installed both Hardy Heron and ubuntu-mythtv-frontend two
times. Both has given the same result.

This machine earlier ran Gutsy Gibbon and ubuntu-mythtv-frontend and I
never had this problem.
