I had a working hoardy on a client machine and using the live CD for
dapper wanted to install dapper on machine.
starting with live CD worked fine and network worked as expected. once
machinew as installed network did not function.
This was as a result of the order the module were loaded in.
on the live CD dmfe was loaded before tulip module for the davicom
network card.
on the install tulip was loaded dmfe. once rmmod both and modprobe in
correct order restarting network resulting in a working network
connection.
