Note, the default setting for 'audiosink' and 'musicaudiosink' is
'autoaudiosink'. They should really be set to the default, and your
sound should work fine without having to change either of these values.
The upgrade broke because they were not set to the defaults. They are
fairly advanced settings and most people won't change them. Have a look
at the comment from Scott James Remnant in 2004 regarding the reasons
for hiding gstreamer-properties from the Preferences menu:

I can confirm the behaviour you describe with gstreamer-properties, but
I don't know if it is a bug or is intentional.
