Public bug reported:

Running Hardy x86_64, all the latest updates.

The oops happens sometimes on an attempt to go into standby mode. The
laptop would refuse to sleep, and although it's still possible to log in
into a tty, no application can be started. It's even impossible to shut
it down cleanly.
