I have a Tecra A4 with the same issue. I was able to resolve it once before by adding some options to my grub config, but they recently got whacked on a kernel update. Try adding lapic and irqpoll to your boot options and see if that resolves your problem. To do so.. $ sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst Scroll down till you see a line that says ## ## End Default Options ## Four lines below that you should see a line that starts with the word kernel, at the end of it add "lapic irqpoll" (without the quotes). (DEVELOPERS..
