I see you mention you are running Gutsy 7.10. Care to try the Hardy
Heron 8.04 Beta release: http://www.ubuntu.com/testing . It contains
an updated version of the kernel. You should be able to then test using
the LiveCD. If you can, please verify if this bug still exists or not
and report back your results. If you still experience issues, you may
also want to take a look at bug 88746. Thanks.
