I can tell from what I've read that this isn't a Nautilus bug as such, but why not have the ability to choose an application manually? Or use a special command? I want to be able to use this command for playing DVDs in Hardy:
vlc --vout-filter deinterlace --deinterlace-mode blend --volume 512 --fullscreen %m It works great in Gutsy and I want to do it in Hardy without having to hack at things. I want to help others use the above command and keep it as simple as possible for them.
