Public bug reported:
I could control the brightness of my laptop screen using hotkeys (Fn+Home/End),
although the panel applet never worked (dont know why).
Sometime ago, the brightness control using the hotkeys also stopped working.

I know they are being detected, because I did a tail -f /var/log/acpi I
