Hello, ive been reading the thread, and i myself have a laptop with the Realtek 8187 wireless adaptor. It gave me problems on Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon, last night i upgraded to Hardy Herring, and the problem improved slighlty, bearing in mind i have WEP turned off. My connexion seems to just stop recieving data from my router (According to System monitor) but my wireless card still sends data. I know the problem is not with the router, so its with the wireless card. Now i noticed a huge improvement in Hardy herring, you have obviously changed something, but it still hangs occasionally, for example if i now try and log into my Hotmail account, it will always hang on that page, and itĺl stay hung until i Suspend, Or restart the computer. Let me attach some data about my computer and OS.
uname -a Linux alex-laptop 2.6.24-16-generic #1 SMP Thu Apr 10 13:23:42 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux dmesg > dmesg.log (included, see below) Ill post the other attachments now below. Bear in mind they were all done after the connection hung. Also, If your wondering how im sending this, ie got myself plugged direct into the router, no wireless being used at the moment. If you need any more info, just ask. I really would like to get this problem sorted for myself, and the community. ** Attachment added: "dmesg.log" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/13504370/dmesg.log -- Connection hangs (stops working) at high traffic using rtl8187 driver https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/124801 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
