I've got the same behaviour: After downloading a file in firefox 3 in Hardy right clicking in the FF3 download manager and selecting "open containing folder", firefox displays a window and ask for an application to open the file with. The same happens after selecting "open" instead of "open containg folder" even though the file type has an associated application (for example for .zip oder .deb files).
