i think maybe is a hardware problem, maybe a short circuit or bad contact, dont know, cause it start working well just by touching the metal body of the plug in the eterneth cable with my finger. i will try an all plastic cable plug, i had one before but the metal one come with my motorola modem, so its the one i have using. whats strange is that in windows vista (oem) it work without problem, and in ubuntu 7.1 it work too as far as i remember, was after enabled restricted drivers that start malfuction and even when removed the problem stay.
