I can confirm that I am not using Cisco VPN, and the crash is limited to only rdesktop. I also get the "ERROR: recv: Connection reset by peer" if I wait for the connection to time out. Attached is a screenshot, while don't think it will be helpful in identifying the problem maybe some other people have this issue and would possibly better recognize an image of the situation than a description.
