Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gksu
My desktop is currently running Ubuntu Hardy 8.04, it was previously
updated from 7.10 more than a month ago. After the upgrade, I found gksu
behaves differently from the previous version: no matter whether you
choose to type password, or you want to cancel the dialog, the semi-
transparent full-screen background window always stays for about 20
seconds; during that period, you can not do anything! This is quite
annoying.
I am expecting that if user click "cancel", the semi-transparent
background window disappear immediately; if user type in password
correctly, the background window should also go away immediately; only
when users choose to type password, and typed the wrong password, the
password dialog and the background window stay.
I really hope that this is not a new feature. I can not imaging waiting
for 20 seconds after successfully typing in password will buy any
benifit, nor for the cases where people choose to cancel the dialog due
to accident.
