Public bug reported:
xorg in hardy seems to freeze randomly, eg while scrolling in browser, playing
video etc.
During the freeze, keyboard and mouse do not respond. Alt+SysREq keys do not
work.
Sound output seems to be in a loop.
However one can ssh into the machine! No high CPU usage.
Also if I happen to close the notebook lid , the freeze lasts ~3 minutes.
The frequency of freezes range around 2-4 times an hour!
No suspicious dmesg messages after unfreeze except for touchpad driver having
lost sync.
I have not been able to reproduce this behaviour either with nvidia + metacity
(even with compositor enabled) or with nv driver.
