Is this still a problem with the latest Hardy kernel? The CPU is missing also when Virtualbox is not running, correct? Does "sudo modprobe -r vboxdrv" fix it? Or rebooting, but without loading the vboxdrv module? (e.g. by de-activating the vboxdrv init script or removing the virtualbox-ose-modules-* package temporarily).
Have you looked around at the resources linked at http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Community, if it's a known/already reported problem? ** Changed in: virtualbox-ose (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- after install virtualbox OSE disappeared one processor https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/203970 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
