Public bug reported:

Hardware: ASUS EEE 2GB Surf PC, external USB DVD-RW, External WD 250GB
USB Hard Drive.

Boot Ubuntu 8.04 CDR, and select "Install Ubuntu".
In the "Prepare disk space" screen, select "Manual".
In the "Prepare partitions" screen, navigate to create from 250 GB of "free
space" this structure:

/dev/sdc
    /dev/sdc1 ext2 /boot 254 MB
    /dev/sdc2 ext3 / 50001 MB
    /dev/sdc3 swap 2048 MB
    free space 197752 MB

Click Forward, and get error, "The file system is bigger than its
volume". This also happens when I try to install from Ubuntu 7.10 CDR.
