Public bug reported:
Error first occured on reboot after install of recommended updates to
7.10. I installed 7.10 using wubi inside window 98se. Ubuntu boots
successfully using "ubuntu 8.04, kernel 2.6.24-15-generic"
It appears that /host is not identified correctly in ubuntu 8.04, kernel
2.6.24-16-genericl. An ALERT msg posted just before the install goes
to busybox says /host/ubuntu/disks/root.host does not exist. /host is
windows c:\ and host.root does exist at c:\ubuntu\disks\host.root.
I'm surpriesed this hasn't been reported previously. Am I the only one
using w98se as a host?
Please tell me how to have the 2.6.24-15 version of the kernel load.
I assume that if the bug is fixed the solution will be is future update.
thanks... the door guy
