Johne, Have you tried installing the linux-backports-modules-2.6.24-16-generic package? This contains an updated version of the iwl3945 driver which will not be made the default for 8.04, because the version currently in linux-ubuntu-modules is the only one certified by Intel for Centrino. (In other words: the kernel module in l-b-m wouldn't be /better/, it would just give us a /different/ set of bugs).
The iwl3945 driver in l-u-m does work well for most users and the version in l-b-m seems to fix the issues for most others, so I'm marking this bug as 'declined' for hardy. -- the iwl3945 driver will not connect to my open, 802.11 b, linksys AP https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/200064 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
