Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: bug-buddy
Running Ubuntu 8.04
Bug-Buddy version: 2.22.0+dfsg-2
I believe in previous versions of Ubuntu (memory is slightly foggy on
this, but I believe I've done it before), going to the Bug Report Tool
in Applications --> Programming, opened a dialog that allowed a user to
fill out the necessary information and submit a bug report to Launchpad.
Now, when attempting to launch the Bug Report Tool from the Programming
menu, it errors "Either --appname or --package arguments are required."
This application makes it easy for casual end-users to submit bugs and
suggestions, a majority of which would not do so if the application is
not available. By wishing to target the casual user, we must also make
tools that are easy to use, not something complex so that it discourages
the casual user, like Launchpad might do.
** Affects: bug-buddy (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
