I found the reason of the problem but the solution is not a good one !
Just explain, The printer is a canon MP360 multifunction (it is also a
scanner). The scanner is not correctly configured by Ubuntu. there was a
specific procedure to active the scanner on Gusty. It was working well.
The problem in this procedure in Hardy is that the creation of the file
/etc/udev/rules.d/45-libsane.rules with the following lines :
# Canon Smartbase MP360
SYSFS{idVendor}=="04a9", SYSFS{idProduct}=="263c", MODE="664", GROUP="scanner"
delete the direct usb://Canon/MP360%20Series port from the printer
devices.
So I have the choice between the scan and the printer, I cannot activate
both !
