Thank you for your bug report. Ubuntu ships with its own build of
Mozilla Thunderbird, this build is using libstdc++.so.6 instead of the
older libstdc++.so.5. The only supported way to install Thunderbird is
to use one of the packet managers in Ubuntu (such as Synaptic or Adept).
I marking this bug as invalid.
