A WORKAROUND: You can enable non TrueType fonts with
sudo dpkg-reconfigure fontconfig-config # answer the Question "Enable bitmapped fonts by default?" with "Yes" sudo fc-cache -fv You are now able to select "Terminal","Clean" etc. fonts in the fonts menu.
