OK I have removed the following services from startup: Bluetooth device management CPU frequency management Power management - apmd (acpid is left on) Printer service
and then from the user's session options I removed: Bluetooth manager Evolution alarm notifier Network manager applet Power manager Print queue applet Tracker Tracker applet the result has been that I can minimise and maximise frantically - with no skipping. the snag I have here is that while I personally don't need these services, a laptop user might, or an office worker - so there does need to be some way to allow rhythmbox to be more "forgiving". thanks for the hard work ! -- audio skips under IO load, doesn't resume where it stopped https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/112484 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
