With my U305 the mics sort-of-works with alsa-driver 1.0.16 on top of Gusty, or with a 2.6.25 kernel. Sort-of means that I had to find the magic combination: mic boost at about 1/3, capture level at about 2/3, digital capture (a new control with 1.0.16) at about 1/3. Other combinations make the mic too low, too noisy or to distorted. Takashi has been out quite a long time, but now he's back.
