Public bug reported:

Hello everyone :)
I apologise for my flawed English in advance.

My system is Kubuntu 8.04 RC amd64, but it also concerns i386.

I understand that the application in Menu -> System called "Desktop Effects"
is designed to make Compiz Fusion start on KDE startup/login. OK, it works
perfectly.
The problem is, that when Compiz Fusion is already started and I save session
manually or I have the autosave session option enabled, after next relogin
Compiz Fusion starts twice.
I found out that Compiz Fusion was added to ~/.kde/share/config/ksmserverrc
after saving session.
try:
$ cat ~/.kde/share/config/ksmserverrc |grep compiz
and you will get:
restartCommand1=compiz, etc etc
....and it is the redundant execution of Compiz

Compiz starts twice (you can notice black screen for a few seconds
twice) and sometimes, during the second compiz start, try icons go crazy
and don't place themselves in tray.

I suggest to modify KDE session manager to ignore "compiz" command.

Greetings
   Przemek
