Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: openoffice.org-writer
I'm using the latest Hardy (openoffice.org-core 1:2.4.0-3ubuntu5)
I'm encountering a consistent and reproducible bug in recording changes
in openoffice.org-writer. Each time I make a revision at the end of one
paragraph and then another revision anywhere in the following paragraph,
everything the second paragraph up until and including the new revision
is underlined as a revision. I can undo the change I made, but even
then all the old stuff at the beginning of the paragraph is still listed
as an addition. The only way to remove the underline is to delete and
reinsert the old stuff (to make it into a separate "addition" from the
two additions before and after it) and then "Accept" it.
Let me do a step-by-step to clarify: let's say this current paragraph is
my first paragraph and I add an addition *here.*
This is my second paragraph, which I had already written. If I type
something *here,* the two *here*s and everything between them are
treated as a single addition, even though the stuff between them was
already there. The underline remains even if I undo, and I have to cut
and paste the old stuff in place and then accept the change to remove
the underline from the old stuff and leave the new underlines on the
additions.
Thanks
