Public bug reported:

I downloaded the 64bit 8.04 server install (rc) from the ubuntu.com
download page. I checked the md5sum and all checked out fine. I then
burned the disk and tried to do an install. Everything went fine till I
got to the package selection part, and it didn't matter what packages I
selected to install, the package part failed every time. I then
installed grub from the 8.04 disk (which worked fine) and booted back
into my other partition. I checked the disk using jigdo to make sure
all packages were fine, and the disk was the same as the jigdo file.
So, I assume there must be a bug in install procedure, or disk image or
something. Wanted to let you know about it. I'm working on a Pentium D
3.00 Gzh computer with 1.5GB of ram.
