I'll quote Christopher Williams, who seems to be a compiz developer:
"After discovering this problem a few days ago, I did some testing with a few
other people and discovered that this is not a compiz or wall bug. It appears
that some hardware cannot handle alt+up+left (particularly, many notebook
keyboards). Testing in xev with no window manager running reveals the same
behavior."
So this is a hardware issue and we won't be able to fix it.
