This bug has a medium importance. Well, maybe... I really like to ask for at least this before hardy: add a note in the release notes! I'd like to know how I can boot hardy on my laptop. I consider it at least important that we don't have systems failing to boot the desktop cd because of a known bug without mentioning any of this in the caveats. It would be very nice to have a boot option available next to acpi=off and the like, but since time is short, I understand that this is probably not possible.
But please, document this bug in the release notes and mention the right boot option to manually disable this driver. Thanks!
