I have followed the instructions at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Backtracing. to install the dbgsym, aptitude downgraded xorg-server-core from 2:1.3.0.0.dfsg-12ubuntu8.3 to 2:1.3.0.0.dfsg-12ubuntu8
Now X won't start, even after I removed the dbgsym and upgraded xorg- server-core back to the original version. FYI, I have attached these log files as a unified diff.
