I drag and drop a folder from /home/gerard (it's me!!) to the trash, and all the icons of the Desktop disappear (including the trash). To get them back, I need to logout/login again Other way of doing it (w/ the same folder, same place): 1-right click on the folder, then erase (=trash icon on the pulldown menu).
