Hi Sara, I added as you suggest an icon on the desktop to start Firefox, but after reboot the icon is no longer there. I also keep losing the settings of the taskbar, even the small buttons to view/minimize open applications (how are they called) and the clock.
If however I copy with the command-line a file to ~/Desktop, its icon is still there after reboot.
