Public bug reported: Binary package hint: autofs
Upon upgrade to 8.04, autofs 4.1.4+debian-2.1ubuntu will no longer mount nfs shares when the automount map has grpid as an option. See upstream bug http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=475274. Manually mounting nfs shares with autofs shut down works as expected. grpid is a valid option listed in the mount man page, I expect it to be honored, or at least have autofs implement the -s workaround mentioned in the upstream bug report. When I attempt to cd into an automounting directory I get the message "No such file or directory" to STDOUT, and in the logs, I see kernel: [2568.840841] NFS: unknown mount option: grpid ** Affects: autofs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- autofs cannot mount nfs shares with the grpid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/221512 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
