Public bug reported: Binary package hint: dmraid
dmraid crashes for me on 1.0.0.rc14-0ubuntu3. I installed the PPA version from Luke Yelavich, which did work (eventually after some problems). Looks like I'm still affected by bug : https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dmraid/+bug/205307 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/etc/apt# apt-cache policy dmraid dmraid: Installed: 1.0.0.rc14-0ubuntu3 Candidate: 1.0.0.rc14-0ubuntu3 Version table: *** 1.0.0.rc14-0ubuntu3 0 500 http://nl.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/universe Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/etc/apt# lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 8.04 Release: 8.04 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/etc/apt# dmraid -r /dev/sdb: "jmicron" and "isw" formats discovered (using isw)! *** glibc detected *** dmraid: free(): invalid next size (fast): 0x08070a08 *** ======= Backtrace: ========= /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6[0xb7db8a85] /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6(cfree+0x90)[0xb7dbc4f0] dmraid(_dbg_free+0x1d)[0x8054cad] dmraid[0x8052272] dmraid(free_raid_dev+0x29)[0x8052a49] dmraid[0x8053081] dmraid(discover_raid_devices+0x109)[0x8053489] dmraid(perform+0x1e5)[0x804b7a5] dmraid(main+0xa0)[0x804b130] /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6(__libc_start_main+0xe0)[0xb7d63450] dmraid[0x804b021] ======= Memory map: ======== 08048000-0806d000 r-xp 00000000 fe:02 245802 /sbin/dmraid 0806d000-0806e000 rw-p 00025000 fe:02 245802 /sbin/dmraid 0806e000-08090000 rw-p 0806e000 00:00 0 [heap] b7c00000-b7c21000 rw-p b7c00000 00:00 0 b7c21000-b7d00000 ---p b7c21000 00:00 0 b7d48000-b7d49000 rw-p b7d48000 00:00 0 b7d49000-b7d4b000 r-xp 00000000 fe:02 8863805 /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libdl-2.7.so b7d4b000-b7d4d000 rw-p 00001000 fe:02 8863805 /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libdl-2.7.so b7d4d000-b7e96000 r-xp 00000000 fe:02 8863800 /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc-2.7.so b7e96000-b7e97000 r--p 00149000 fe:02 8863800 /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc-2.7.so b7e97000-b7e99000 rw-p 0014a000 fe:02 8863800 /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc-2.7.so b7e99000-b7e9c000 rw-p b7e99000 00:00 0 b7e9c000-b7ecf000 r-xp 00000000 fe:02 8831020 /lib/libsepol.so.1 b7ecf000-b7ed0000 rw-p 00032000 fe:02 8831020 /lib/libsepol.so.1 b7ed0000-b7ed1000 rw-p b7ed0000 00:00 0 b7ed1000-b7ee8000 r-xp 00000000 fe:02 8831081 /lib/libselinux.so.1 b7ee8000-b7eea000 rw-p 00016000 fe:02 8831081 /lib/libselinux.so.1 b7eea000-b7efe000 r-xp 00000000 fe:02 8831098 /lib/libdevmapper.so.1.02.1 b7efe000-b7f00000 rw-p 00013000 fe:02 8831098 /lib/libdevmapper.so.1.02.1 b7f06000-b7f10000 r-xp 00000000 fe:02 8831014 /lib/libgcc_s.so.1 b7f10000-b7f11000 rw-p 0000a000 fe:02 8831014 /lib/libgcc_s.so.1 b7f11000-b7f14000 rw-p b7f11000 00:00 0 b7f14000-b7f15000 r-xp b7f14000 00:00 0 [vdso] b7f15000-b7f2f000 r-xp 00000000 fe:02 8831013 /lib/ld-2.7.so b7f2f000-b7f31000 rw-p 00019000 fe:02 8831013 /lib/ld-2.7.so bfc6b000-bfc80000 rw-p bffeb000 00:00 0 [stack] Aborted I would expect "dmraid -r" to produce output like the PPA version did. Haven't had the guts to restart after the ubuntu3 install, since I'd expect dmraid to just run after it's installed. ** Affects: dmraid (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- dmraid 1.0.0.rc14-0ubuntu3 crashes on install https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/221824 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
