Public bug reported:

8.04 final installation went fine. Upon the first reboot, booting ubuntu
failed claiming wrong partition. Examining the situation it turned out
to be a detection problem (I think), after correcting the grub menu and
changing hd(1,4) to hd(0,4) everything went fine.

The Windows hard disk setup was the following (also see attached picture) :
Disk 0 has Drive D:
Disk 1 has Drive C: and Drive E:

The Wubi installation target was Drive E.
