I just installed hardy heron on my freshly formatted notebook Dell
Latitude D830.
First I installed the nvidia-glx-new drivers for the NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M but
after restarting,
there are only white stripes when Gnome starts to load the login screen.
So I changed "nvidia" to "nv" in xorg.conf to am able to work again.
But the drivers do not seem to work.
