Let me elaborate a little bit on what I mean: The Tecra M7 has a little nob on the front that controls the volume, and pushing it in and out mutes and unmutes it. This nob seems to only work in Windows however, even though Ubuntu reacts to it (if I push up the screen shows the volume turning up even though there is no actual change in volume, if I mute it it shows the sound muting even though it doesn't mute). If I adjust the volume or mute the volume on the windows half of the partition those changes carry over to the Ubuntu installation and nothing I do in Ubuntu can effect it. Is there any way I can correct that?
