I have a Lenovo Ideapad Y510. Using Gutsy, I had no problems with screen brightness settings and using Fn+up/down to control it. However, I just upgraded to 8.04 Hardy, and now my brightness settings are reversed! The icon on the screen indicates that I am increasing brightness with Fn+up, but the screen goes dimmer - and vice versa.
