The present bug has been resolved, but I think there is a bug here that
needs to be fixed in Launchpad Translations as well. msgfmt has a
--check-format option that allows checking that there aren't format
string mismatches between a string and its translation; this should be
enforced for all .po translations, to avoid propagating this kind of bug
into the archive.
