I get the same thing. Problem here is that the instructions on the web say to do 'gksu "sh /cdrom/cdromupgrade"' if the dialog is not displayed, but when you pop in the disk it mounts at /media/Xubuntu 8.04 amd64 not /cdrom
trying to run the upgrade script there seems to just hang (and I suspect it's due to spaces in the filename. . .there was a similar issue I seem to remember when upgrading to gutsy) Do cds mount at /cdrom in the i386 version? -- re:ubuntu-8.04-beta-alternate-amd64.
