This bug is now over a year old. Does the problem still exist?
You think this is a Wine problem: does the problem exist if you boot the
computer, do not use any Wine applications, and then shut down? How about if
you uninstall Wine?
Can you confirm if the problem exists on the 7.10 or 8.04 versions of Ubuntu?
