Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: acpi-support
Starting with Hardy, I get a terrible loud high-pitched sound coming
from the speaker of my Dell Latitude X1 when resuming from suspend. This
problem was NOT present on Gutsy.
Additionally, I get a "Sleep Problem - your computer failed to suspend."
notification. This has already been happening on Gutsy.
Sometimes, there is no wireless network connection after suspend
(although eth1 is present, enabled and has an assigned IP address).
Workaround: Uncheck and re-check "Enable wireless" in the Network
Manager tray applet.
Apart from that, suspend/resume works well (never had a crash). My
primary concern is that loud noise, because it keeps me from using my
notebook in quiet environments.
** Affects: acpi-support (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
